Original hand-colored wood engraving, titled "View of the City of Chicago from the Top of the Lighthouse at the Mouth of the River," was published in Harper’s Weekly in 1884.  Print depicts a bustling 19th-century maritime scene where the Chicago River meets Lake Michigan.

Artwork was created by Schilling and Graham and provides a detailed look at Chicago's waterfront just over a decade after the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. It showcases the city's remarkable recovery and its evolution into a dense, vertical urban center before the advent of modern skyscrapers
