Audubon and printed and colored by the renowned Philadelphia firm of J.T. Bowen, this authentic 19th-century wildlife print was issued in 1849.
The composition depicts a sea otter perched on a rocky shoreline holding a freshly caught fish, rendered with the remarkable detail and naturalism that made the Audubon family’s works among the most important natural history publications of the 19th century.
